Remote and electronic posting: A link to the posters cannot replace physical posting; employers may send electronic links in addition. For employees working from home or a vehicle, employers may mail each employee a set of posters and/or email a link to Lni.wa.gov/Posters; those employees do not have to post them. Out-of-state employers should give Washington employees copies.
Federal posters
- Employee Rights Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (minimum wage): Every employer covered by the FLSA
- Job Safety and Health: It's the Law (OSHA): Private-sector employers
- Know Your Rights: Workplace Discrimination is Illegal (EEOC): Employers with 15 or more employees
- Employee Rights Under the Family and Medical Leave Act: Employers with 50 or more employees
- Employee Polygraph Protection Act: Most private employers
- Your Rights Under USERRA: All employers (may be provided instead of posted)
Federal list: US DOL workplace posters and the DOL FirstStep Poster Advisor.
Details and exceptions
- L&I's Job Safety and Health Law poster replaces the federal OSHA poster; employers must post both state and federal posters for everything else (see L&I publication F101-054-000, Workplace Posters: Required and Recommended).
- Washington has no state minimum wage poster; employers must display the federal minimum wage poster.
- Posting the Spanish portion is not required but is encouraged. Businesses without employees do not need to post the L&I posters.
