Details and exceptions
- Signed May 20, 2026 as Chapter 1128. The Commissioner of Labor and Industry must adopt regulations by July 1, 2027.
- Home health workers already have paid sick leave under § 40.1-33.3 (2021), and the new article excludes them.
- A separate paid family and medical leave program is not part of this record.
