Good-faith minimum and maximum salary for the advertised position
| Who it applies to | 4 or more employees, or 1 or more domestic workers (owners count toward the four; employment agencies covered regardless of size) |

| Which jobs | Advertisements for jobs, promotions and transfers performed in whole or in part in New York City, including remote work from home |
| Penalties | Up to $250,000 for an uncured first violation and for later violations; a first violation can be cured within 30 days of the Commission's notice |
Details and exceptions
- Since Sept. 17, 2023, NYC postings are also covered by the New York State law (Labor Law § 194-b); state complaints go to NYS DOL
- Temporary help firms recruiting for their general applicant pool are exempt
