Local laws in New York
Details and exceptions
- New York City has its own salary transparency law (NYC Human Rights Law), enforced by the NYC Commission on Human Rights; see the NYC record
- Westchester County: its Human Rights Law (Laws of Westchester County ch. 700) separately bars posting a job, promotion or transfer opportunity without the minimum and maximum salary, and covers all employers except the county itself; postings in Westchester are now also covered by state law
- Ithaca: a local salary range law is reported, but its ordinance could not be read on an official page today (ecode360 blocked), so it is not described here
